Named after the renowned Clare Valley, Claire’s future in wine was pre-destined. With a career spanning cellar door management, events, wine education, marketing, and export logistics in both Italy and Australia, Claire was a natural fit for the role of Sommelier at Voyager Estate.

Before joining the Voyager team in August 2011, Claire spent eight years at a family-run vineyard in northern Italy. During her time there, she completed the Associazione Italiana Sommelier course, mastered the Italian way of life, and managed the winery’s cellar door and guest tours.

As Sommelier at Voyager, Claire leads immersive wine education and tasting sessions for guests, ensures the Wine Room Team is well-versed in the Wine Portfolio, and collaborates closely with Head Chef Travis Crane to drive the Wine First philosophy in Voyager’s award-winning, sustainably-focused restaurant. Her deep knowledge of wine, love of craft, and fervour continually enrich and educate both guests and team members. In 2022, Claire was recognized by the WA Good Food Guide as Regional Sommelier of the Year.
