Born and raised in the Fremantle area, Jason Beste is the Head Chef at Supper Road, where he blends global culinary techniques with the fresh flavours of Western Australia. His culinary journey began in Perth, but his passion for cooking led him around the world, starting in the UK, where he worked for top catering companies like Rocket Food and Rhubarb, crafting meals for high-profile events and serving celebrities and royalty.
Jason’s travels extended to the Alps, where he managed chalets and Hotels in France and Austria. His time in Cornwall further enriched his skills as he worked with fresh seafood and produce, deepening his appreciation for local ingredients. A standout moment in his career was cooking for the Mercedes Formula One Racing Team, where he prepared meals for drivers such as Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg. This fast-paced role taught him how to handle global catering challenges, from logistics to preparing meals under pressure.
Since returning to Australia, Jason has led the culinary team at Supper Road, combining traditional and modern techniques to create innovative menus that celebrate the region's produce. Now living in Cowaramup with his family, Jason enjoys the relaxed lifestyle of the South West, finding inspiration in its natural beauty. When he’s not in the kitchen, you'll find him playing golf or helping his daughter Pippa with the chickens.
