Andy Hearnden, better known as Andy Cooks, is a digital chef who captivates 15 million subscribers across TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook with his engaging cooking videos. Awarded YouTube Australia’s Top Creator in 2023, Andy draws on his 20+ years of professional kitchen experience to help people create better food at home. His content is all about inspiring home cooks and budding chefs to enjoy more meals with friends and family.
Andy’s culinary journey has taken him across the globe, from Auckland to London, Sydney, and Melbourne, where he’s learned from some of the best chefs in the industry. At just 24, he became Head Chef at the Great Eastern Dining Room in Shoreditch, London, before moving into the business side of hospitality, managing restaurants, cafes, and bars.
Now, Andy spends his days crafting food content from his home kitchen, sharing weekly educational cooking videos with his growing YouTube audience. Known for his signature ‘Hey Babe’ and ‘Order’s Up’ catchphrases, his videos reach an average of 140 million viewers each month. His debut cookbook, “Andy Cooks: The Cookbook,” aims to bring people back to the table to enjoy meals together.
Last year, Andy traveled the world for his Origins series on YouTube, exploring famous dishes in their places of origin with local chefs and food creators like Aaron Franklin and Joshua Weissman. He’s also collaborated with notable personalities such as Stormzy, Dylan Alcott, Taika Waititi, and Nagi from RecipeTin Eats.
