James Revie

James Revie is the Senior Winemaker at Vasse Felix. Born in Sydney but raised in Perth, James has always been deeply connected to the land. After completing his schooling in Perth, he pursued a Bachelor of Science in Viticulture and Oenology at Curtin University, driven by his passion for the intricate blend of nature, science, art, and philosophy that winemaking embodies. 
With over 14 years of experience in the wine industry, James began his career at Voyager Estate in Margaret River. His journey then took him to California, where he served as Winemaker at Spottswoode Estate Vineyard and Winery in the Napa Valley. In 2022, James returned to Margaret River to join Vasse Felix as Senior Winemaker. 
James is dedicated to crafting iconic Australian wines that embody the unique character of Margaret River. His approach prioritises minimal intervention, allowing the true essence of the land and each season’s nuances to be reflected in every bottle. Committed to sustainability, James focuses on preserving biodiversity, reducing environmental impact, and ensuring the long-term health of both the land and the winery.
