Jessica Court
Co Head Chef Glenarty Road. Jessica Court (Widmer) is a chef based in Western Australia's Margaret River Region, known for her nose-to-tail, paddock-to-plate cooking. Her dishes are rooted in a deep respect for provenance, seasonality, and sustainability.
Jessica honed her skills in some of Australia’s top kitchens, including the acclaimed two-hatted Porteno in Sydney, where she trained under Ben Milgate and Elvis Abrahanowicz. There, she developed her expertise in cooking on fire with whole animals.
Arriving in Margaret River in 2018, Jessica soon became a part of the team at Vasse Felix, working closely with chef Brendan Pratt as his Sous Chef.
In 2021, Jessica took the Head Chef role at Glenarty Road in Karridale — a working farm, winery, and restaurant, and in her first year, the restaurant was named Regional Restaurant of the Year by the West Australian Good Food Guide.
In 2023, Glenarty Road was awarded Best Destination Dining in Australia by Gourmet Traveller, and soon after this recognition, Jessica became a mum, where she then shared her Head Chef role with husband and respected chef Adam Court. Soon after this collaboration, they gained a hat from the Australian Good Food Guide.
Jessica’s cooking is defined by creativity, fire, a fierce love for good produce, and a little CWA charm.
