Vincent Tan, Odette
Wine Director, Odette
Singaporean Vincent Tan leads the beverage program at three-Michelin-starred Odette, curating a wine list that is guided not by region or label, but by winemakers’ philosophies. His human-centric approach champions producers who share Odette’s deep respect for terroir, product, and craft.
In 2012, Vincent was awarded the Johanninger Wine Scholarship, which took him to Germany for a two-week apprenticeship at Johanninger Winery. There, he developed a thirst for understanding the intricacies of winemaking and how they shape a wine’s character — knowledge he now brings to every guest experience.
In 2015, Vincent won Singapore’s National Sommelier Competition, and the following year was runner-up in Sopexa’s Asia’s Best Sommelier in French Wines. He is a Certified Sommelier (Court of Master Sommeliers) and holds a WSET Level 3 Certification.
Starting his career at just 19, Vincent has played a pivotal role in shaping wine programs across acclaimed restaurants including Verre, Corner House, and now Odette. Beyond service, he is passionate about training the next generation of sommeliers, working closely with the Sommelier Association of Singapore to develop education and mentorship programs.
Vincent’s journey is grounded in passion, precision, and a belief that great wine should be approached with both curiosity and care — values he hopes to pass on to the next wave of aspiring sommeliers.
